We have been lucky to have had Susie’s brother Andrew (affectionately known by family as Fred) help us make our furniture. Like all young businesses, we like to in source where possible to save costs and we lucky to have some talent in the family! Andrew held true to loving brotherly form and persisted with the misgivings of our original plans to come up with desks and tables that we think are smashing!
Fred made the desks, then we screen printed them. A big thanks to Fred, we love you, and your stuff!
So we have been busy this year and we are VERY excited to show you a sneak peak of our amazing new showroom/ workspace! We have been cleaning, sugar soaping, cutting in, painting and getting our tiny little space ready to rumble! The little abode is in Newstead, Brisbane and we are so excited to be able to have a little space to work and showcase our wares.

When we were at our Pop Up on Logan Road, Gabba in late 2012, Pearl Cafe had the most amazing special on their menu, a Mooloolaba Prawn Baguette with chippies! A favourite meal from childhood beach holidays at Mooloolaba, we just had to try the meal to shoot our new prawn tea towels. Not quite as exciting, but we think we did an okay job!
+ a savvy B, wine always helps!
The rain hasn’t stopped here in Queensland! Its a nice change from the heat, but this weekend has been unbelievable! The bonus is that the temperatures have dropped and we are getting excited about winter recipes!
Susie actioned this amazing chicken and leek pie in the Falcon Enamel Pie Sets tonight. It DID NOT LAST LONG!
Queensland has had some terrible weather over the last week. Both the Everingham & the Watson were sans power for four nights. Made it very interesting, but also made us very grateful. It made us realise that we take power, a freezer and a hot shower for granted!
Susie fired up the E&W lanterns and they worked a treat over the dark and stormy nights.
Nadia Buick from The Urban List came to visit us pre Pop Up along and wrote a lovely piece about her top 10 E&W products.
It was so lovely having someone else curate our collection and pick their picks! Not only is Nadia a wizz with words ( she has just submittd her PHD in Fashion at QUT) she can take a snappy snap! Here are a few of our favourites, that she kindly dropped into us.

E&W are launching our new tea towel design ‘ Southern Sky’ at the Pop Up. We thought it was about time that the Southern Cross got some love in a positive way and beautiful way!
Designed by Liz Watson these Southern Cross tea towels are a great present for any Australian! We have hand screen printed Liz’s design (royal blue and red) onto beige European linen.
Everingham & Watson will be at the GOMA Christmas Market on Saturday 24 November. 9am – 4pm – Gallery of Modern Art – Stanley Place, South Brisbane.
